Welcome to our new website!

Isabel and Verity started off this project in 2012. Here they are interacting with some of the kids they were bringing items to.
Project Visible was started by our moms, Verity and Isabel. Together, we all would deliver backpacks full of nutritious foods to the LA mission in Skid Row, Downtown every other weekend.
In 2013, our moms continued to deliver nutritious backpacks to the kids on Skid Row. The reality is these kids are homeless and are often without food over the weekend. We were often just one person shopping, packing, funding and delivering these backpacks on Saturday mornings.
In 2014, our moms had welcomed three volunteers to help pack, distribute, donate, and shop! It was so great to have the extra help.
Continued our efforts at a shelter on Skid Row until the end of spring. Due to some administrative changes, the group shrunk from 30-35 kids to 2-5 kids per week.
Due to some tragic personal events we took a hiatus.
We continued to look for a new and safe distribution spot and in the meantime continued to support various youth homeless initiatives as well as animal causes.
Continued to build out our network and finally started discussions to partner up with an educational program in Los Angeles which allowed us to restart our program in 2020.
First 10 backpacks of Project Visable - The New Generation were delivered to a homeless shelter for kids. Handwritten cards, written by Grace, Ethan, and Claire, were given to all the children.
Since we took over Project Visable, we have gotten more donors. We have kept up with donations and have had a great year. We started 'personalized' holiday drives to give kids in need what they really want and need versus generic presents for the holidays.
Grace and Ethan continued to purchase backpack supplies, rallied their friends for backpack packing sessions. They managed to delivery quarterly drop-offs to the homeless shelters to assure that there is plenty of school supplies.
The social workers provided us with great feedback. Kids in poverty are easily standing out at school, especially with economic backpacks as provided by our charity. Therefore we decided to switch to nicely branded backpacks to allow for the kids to blend in with the rest of the school. This means lesser quantities per drop of but more meaningful.
Our volunteers have become more creative over the years. New suggestions of useful items for backpacks keep on coming in and are being incorporated. Project Visable continues to provide 20-30 backpacks per quarter to students who struggle getting access to school supplies. Grace and Ethan pack each bag with care, while brainstorming how to raise additional money for Project Visable.
